SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Caddo Parish teenager has died and two of her siblings injured in a wreck in the southern part of the parish. It happened around 1 p.m. Thursday on Highway 1 in South Caddo Parish.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, a pickup was heading southbound on Hwy 1 approaching Leonard Rd. when a eastbound Toyota Highlander pulled out in front of it. CPSO spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says the Toyota Tundra was unable to avoid hitting the SUV.

Rebekah Anne Rogers, 17, of Shreveport, was at the wheel of the SUV. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 15-year-old brother Ethan Rogers and 14-year-old sister Isbella Rogers were flown by Life Air to University Health with injuries that are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to Willis Knighton with injuries that are also not believed to be life-threatening. All are said to have been wearing seatbelts.

The highway has since been reopened, after being closed northbound for accident cleanup and investigation.
