BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -  A traffic stop on I20 east of Bossier City led to the discovery of more than 4 pounds of cocaine and 3 arrests early Tuesday morning.

According to Louisiana State Police, a State Trooper assigned to Troop G stopped the Chevrolet van and got consent to search the vehicle from the driver, 39-year-old Jose R. Segovia Ayala of Houston. During that search, the trooper reports discovering about 4.5 pounds of cocaine hidden in the vehicle.

Ayala was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

According to LSP Trooper Brett Davis, two other occupants of the vehicle, 21-year-old Uriel Coria-Coria and 44-year-old Israel Miranda both of Houston, TX were also arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

The estimated street value of the cocaine seized is $86,400.  Ayala, Coria, and Miranda all face up to 45 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted of these crimes.

Davis says all three are in the country illegally. They were booked into Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility and are facing additional charges through the Department of Homeland Security and the deportation process.
