A Shreveport woman is facing battery charges after she allegedly stabbed a man Monday night in the west side of the city.
Police said Dwanda Taylor, 23 was at the home of Dexter Alexander, 49 of the 300 block of West 75th Street when a verbal argument broke out between the two. Taylor allegedly battered Alexander and then stabbed him with a knife in his mid-section before fleeing the scene on foot.
Detectives found her at a home a few blocks away where she was arrested. Taylor is being held at the Shreveport City Jail on aggravated battery charges.
Alexander was taken to University Health Shreveport where he was most recently listed in serious but stable condition, police said.
