A former Harrison County jailer is behind bars, accused of having sex with an inmate when she worked at the jail.
Jessica Stringfellow, 24, was charged with a felony count of sexual contact/intercourse with a person in custody and prohibited substances and items in a correctional facility.
Authorities say Stringfellow admitted to having sex with an inmate, at which time she was fired and arrested.
The investigation continues and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office says further charges may be filed.
Stringfellow is being held on a bond of $15,000. She will be housed in the Gregg County Jail, or until her bond is made, due to her previous employment in the Harrison County Jail.
