Local firefighters to honor fallen Hot Shots with ceremonies

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Local firefighters will mark the deaths of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, with their own ceremonies, which will be happening at all the Northwest Fire District stations.

Crews will be lowering the flags to half-staff, then at 4:42 p.m. the exact time the 19 hotshots died fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire, there will be a last alarm, all call dispatch to acknowledge the tragedy. 

"You might hear tones, like scanner tones and then dispatch saying negative contact, crew out of service," said NWFD Captain, Adam Goldberg on what people can expect to hear during the last call.
