(WMC) – WMC Action News 5's Lindsey Brown found some great deals for this Freebie Friday headed into this summer weekend, including free food and free concert from an award winning music artist.

Free summer food

Fish and fries just go with summer and Long John Silver's agrees. On Saturday, June 28, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at participating locations, Long John Silver's will give customers one crispy golden fish filet and a serving of natural-cut fries to everyone who visits the store completely free of charge. Celebrate Independence Day early

Bellevue Baptist Church is getting a jump start on the Fourth of July holiday with its Starlight Spectacular. This event is on Sunday, June 29 at 6 p.m. at the church located at 2000 Appling Road in Cordova. This free event will feature Christian recording artist Michael W. Free food truck event

Memphis has a growing food truck scene. On Saturday at Tiger Lane, attend the Food Truck & Mobile Vending Extravaganza. This event begins at noon and goes until 6 p.m. You will have to buy the great local food, but the admission and parking is free.
