BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A second man is behind bars after Bossier City police say he and another man robbed a local car wash at gunpoint earlier this month.

Damario Shelton Kelly, 21, of Bossier City was arrested overnight Wednesday after an officer spotted him riding in a vehicle in the 1600 block of Hill Street.

Detectives said at about 6:30 a.m. June 3, an employee at the Snappy Scrubs Car Wash in the 1900 block of Benton Road was getting ready to open when Kelly and another masked man robbed him at gunpoint. The other man, identified as 31-year-old Jerome Durham, of Bossier City, was arrested June 9.

A warrant was issued for Kelly earlier this week. The arresting officer says he knew Kelly was wanted and recognized him, having dealt with him several times in the past.

Kelly was booked into Bossier City Jail on armed robbery and drug charges after police found him in possession of suspected marijuana. He was also booked for having several outstanding bench warrants from Bossier City and Bossier Parish. He is being held on a $253,000 bond.

The investigation into this case continues.
