SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The Bossier City man found guilty of killing a woman in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood two years ago has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Rickey Williams, 20, was convicted of second-degree murder in the slaying of 27-year-old Jasmine Hall. On July 20, 2012 Hall was found shot once in the upper torso outside of a home in the 300 block of Boulevard Street. She was take to University Health by the Shreveport Fire Department where she later died.

Investigators believe Hall's husband, 26-year-old Brandon Reed, had a fight with Williams over the sale and distribution of drugs, when Williams pulled out a handgun and fired the shot that struck and killed Hall.
