Birmingham firefighters have contained an apartment fire in the 1500 block of 21st Way South.
Fire officials said that one person was taken to the hospital but their condition is unknown. A fire chief says the injury looked minor.
When crews arrived, the fire was concentrated on the second floor. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
