Max bus hits Wells Fargo bank in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Rescue crews are on the scene where a Max bus struck a Wells Fargo bank on Tuesday morning.

It happened on 3rd Avenue South and 18th Street South around 9 a.m.

Around 20 people were on the bus at the time. At least 7 were injured, including the bus driver, and several were transported to the hospital. None of the injuries were life threatening.

Representatives from Wells Fargo say the bank will remain open during cleanup of the accident.
