Police seek information in Florence armed robbery

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence police are seeking the public's help in solving an armed robbery investigation.

Police said they responded to an armed robbery call on June 18 at a residence on the 1100 block of Henson Drive. According to investigators, a husband and wife were visiting a friend at the home when two men pulled out handguns and robbed them. As the men were leaving, police said one of them discharged a handgun at one of the victims.

Investigators said the men fled the scene in a mid-1990's model silver or gray Mercury Marquise or Ford Crown Victoria with large rims and a loud muffler.

Police said one of the men wore a purple tank top, appeared to be in his 20's, was six feet tall and weighed around 200 to 230 pounds. The second suspect wore a maroon tank top and looked to be in his mid 40's, 5'7" tall and weighed 200 pounds. Investigators said he also wore a black patch over his right eye.
