NATCHITOCHES, LA (KSLA) -

Deputies have arrested 3 suspects in a residential burglary near Natchitoches, linking the trio to several other unsolved cases.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Danielle Alexis Baldwin, 18, Christopher Houston Jr., 20, and Dalandrius LeBum, 18 in connection with a June 20 burglary at a house in the 500 block of Fulton Road.

It all started when deputies stopped a 2014 Dodge Avenger just south of Natchitoches. A citizen had reported it was traveling on Hwy. 494 recklessly, and that those inside were throwing alcoholic beverage bottles out of it.

Around the same time, those deputies were notified that a silent burglary alarm had been activated. At that scene, deputies saw that the house had been broken into through a back door while the homeowners were out of town.

According to police reports, when deputies were talking with Baldwin, who was driving the Avenger, they spotted a Vizio flat screen TV, knives and assorted jewelry inside the vehicle. Baldwin denied having anything to do with the items.

Deputies also saw what they believed to be narcotics in the Avenger. Baldwin gave conflicting reasons for why she was on Fulton Road dropping off two passengers. During the investigation, however, Houston and LeBum arrived at the scene.

The deputies saw a cellophane bag of what they thought was marijuana on him and a resulting search of LeBum netted the bag, two semi-automatic pistols, one of them cocked and loaded. One of those weapons, a Kel-Tec 9mm had recently been reported stolen in a Natchitoches burglary, reports said.

From the vehicle, deputies also found suspected alprazolam, a schedule I4 narcotic, alcoholic beverages and the above-named items they believed were stolen from the Fulton Road house. They later learned that the TV, knives and jewelry had been stolen in recent burglaries and thefts in Natchitoches.

The suspects were charged with:

Baldwin, of the 200 block of University Parkway, Natchitoches: no drivers license, possession of alcoholic beverages by a person under the age of 21, principle to simple burglary, illegal possession of stolen things and illegal possession of a CDS schedule IV alprazolam.

Houston, of the 700 block of University Parkway, Natchitoches: one count of aggravated burglary and one count of simple criminal damage to property.

LeBum, of the 1400 block of Washington Street, Natchitoches: one count of aggravated burglary, one count of illegal possession of a stolen firearm, one count of possession of CDS schedule I marijuana, one count of illegal carrying of a firearm, one count of simple criminal damage to property and one count of illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS.

All three are being held at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center waiting on bond.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
