SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport woman stabbed her attacker overnight in self-defense, warding off a teenager who allegedly dragged her through her own home.

Police arrested 17-year-old Quanchivas Webster, charging him with domestic abuse battery after he allegedly assaulted a woman at her house in the 3200 block of Penick Street.

The fray began just after 1 a.m., when police said the victim had just arrived home. A verbal spar ignited a physical assault on the victim, who was also dragged through parts of the house.

At that point, the victim grabbed a sharp-edged object and cut Webster along the side of the abdomen, police said. Their investigation led police to conclude that Webster initiated the incident.

Webster was treated for minor injuries and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

No charges have been filed against the victim, who had minor injuries after the attack.
