Shreveport police looking for alleged purse snatcher

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police are looking for a vehicle they suspect is linked to a purse snatching that happened May 1 at a business on r Road.

Police say about 11:30 a.m. a woman was loading her vehicle in the parking lot of a Walmart at 6235 Westport Road when a white vehicle pulled up beside her and a man asked for directions.

While she was giving him directions, the suspect reportedly grabbed the victim's purse and jumped back into his vehicle and drove away. He appeared to be driving a late 90s to early 2000s model Lexus or Toyota with a paper tag, police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s or 30s with a slim build, low cut hair, about 5'5."

    Surveillance cameras captured someone opening fire at a gas station in Jasper. Police are looking for one of the people they said opened fire on Friday night, while the other is still in a hospital.
