A New Boston man is dead after his vehicle hit an embankment early Sunday morning.
Authorities say at 4:25 a.m. 35-year-old Claude Randolph Reed, who was driving a 2001 Ford F-150, crashed his truck more than two miles northwest of New Boston.
Reed was traveling north on FM 3378 when he veered off the roadway near a creek and his vehicle became stuck in an embankment.
Reed, the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office.
