The owner of the dogs that attacked six-year-old Zainabou Drame is facing drug charges.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters announced the indictment of Zontae Irby Friday.
Irby is charged with one count of trafficking in marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of receiving stolen property.
The stolen property charge involved a stolen gun found in Irby's residence. If convicted, he faces up to eight and a half years in prison.
His mother, Volores White, is also charged with one count of permitting drug abuse. If convicted, she faces up to two years in prison.
Zainabou was attacked by two pit bulls when she was playing outside her Westwood home on June 4.
