TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

Riding with no taillights ended up getting two Texarkana men arrested for possessing more than five pounds of marijuana.

Officers say they stopped 24-year-old Brandon Jefferson of Texarkana, Texas in his Chevy Suburban at South Lake Dr. and Findley St. around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday because his taillights were out. But after they caught the strong smell of marijuana coming from the SUV, they say they searched the vehicle and found more than five pounds of it.

Jefferson and passenger Lagarrous Glover, 23, of Texarkana, Ark. were arrested.

Both are charged with possession of marijuana more than five pounds but under 50 pounds, a third-degree felony.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to contact the Texarkana, Texas Police Department at (903) 798-3116 or Crime Stoppers at (903) 793-STOP (7867).
