WASHINGTON, DC (CNN) - Students at a Washington, DC high school gave Westboro Baptist Church protesters a taste of their own medicine.
Members of the controversial church were demonstrating against Woodrow Wilson High School's "Pride Day" event.
But on Monday morning, hundreds of students, teachers and community members turned out for a massive counter-protest.
Last week, the school's principal announced to students that he is gay.
One Westboro member called the principal's coming out "shameful."
