MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK (CTV/CNN) – On Friday mourners lit candles at a memorial for three Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers killed in a shooting this week.

The alleged gunman, 24-year-old Justin Bourque, is accused of shooting a total of five officers. Two survived but required surgery.

One remains in the hospital.

Officials say all of the officers who died were family men and great guys.

One had a 19-month-old son with another child on the way.
