SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police say the target of an attempted Craigslist robbery not only fought back, but helped lead them to the arrest of a suspect Thursday night.

22-year-old Jakory Lang of Shreveport is now charged with armed robbery, after police say pulled a gun on a man who had agreed to meet with him to purchase a cell phone. Police say the meeting had been arranged on Craigslist.

Officers were called to the 8800 block of Millicent Way just before 8:30 p.m., where the victim told police he was able to wrestle the gun away from the suspect. Police say Lang jumped in his car and sped off, but the victim followed and told police which direction he headed.

Patrol officers caught up with Lang on West 70th Street near Kennedy Drive, where he was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Shreveport City Jail. Police note that Lang also had an outstanding warrant through the Shreveport Police Department for unauthorized use of an access card.
