TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

West Alabama Narcotics Task Force agents have arrested a suspect who allegedly made spice, or synthetic marijuana, with rat poison.

Police say Darius Wilson, 27, was arrested Wednesday at a home on Hillview Lane in Coker for allegedly trafficking synthetic marijuana.

Investigators say Wilson mixed rat poison with plant material to produce his product. Agents recovered 160 packets of spice with a street value of $11,000.

Wilson has been charged with one count of trafficking illegal drugs (synthetic marijuana) and one count of false reporting to law enforcement. He has been booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $1,006,000 bond.

Tuscaloosa authorities released photos of the synthetic marijuana on Friday. The photos show a brand of spice called "Kaptain Crunch," as well as packets of Decon rat poison.
