A one-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Mansfield man Tuesday evening in DeSoto Parish.
David Sudds Jr., 60, was driving on LA Highway 3015 when he reportedly lost control of his 1992 Dodge truck and the vehicle went off the right side of the road, DeSoto Parish deputies said.
An investigation into the crash shows that the truck then flipped over multiple times, hit a fence and came to a stop against a tree. During the flips, Sudds was ejected from the truck.
Deputies said Sudds was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the DeSoto Parish Coroner's Office.
Deputies suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash and a toxicology analysis is underway.
The crash remains under investigation.
