SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man was jailed late Saturday night after police said he was stabbed by a woman he intended to assault.

Christopher Perry, 43, has been charged with sexual battery and simple battery after he allegedly tried to assault two women at a home in the 1600 block of Poland Street.

Police said one of the victims stabbed Perry during the struggle.

Officers responded to the corner of Allen Avenue and Anna Street for a call of a man suffering a stab wound. Perry was taken to University Heath Shreveport for treatment for several non life-threatening stab wounds to his arm, polices said.

Detectives were called to investigate and found evidence linking Perry to the attempted sexual assault on Poland Street.

He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail after being released from the hospital.
