SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Hyde Park resident has surveillance video showing thieves burglarizing his home on 5 different occasions.

Larry Cain says over the past year property from his home on Pickwick Place in Shreveport has been taken.

"They just come right in your yard and start taking stuff," says Cain.

Just last night, Cain reported to police that thieves stole his grandson's motorcycle. Police later recovered the motorcycle, but Cain does not doubt that the thieves will be back.

In surveillance video, you can see on 5 different occasions people stealing property from outside the home.

Cain says often the thieves take equipment from his work truck even though it is chained up.

"I don't want to hurt nobody over no property, but it makes you want to hurt someone when they constantly come and steal your stuff," says Cain.

That Hyde Park area falls into the District 11,and according to the Shreveport Police Department the most recent data shows that between January and March of this year - there were 32 residential burglaries reported.

Cain says he has reported the incidents to police, but now wants the criminals stopped not just for his own peace of mind but also for the safety of the the thieves.
