Warrant issued for suspect in series of burglaries in S. Shreveport subdivision

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police investigators are seeking the whereabouts of a local man accused of illegally possessing and pawning thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.

Johnathon Igbokwe, 30, has been named as the suspect in a continuing investigation into the pawning of merchandise that was found to have been stolen during a residential burglary of a south Shreveport home last week.  

Investigators estimate the property stolen from the home is valued at nearly $20,000.  

Authorities are seeking a establish a link between this case and a series of residential burglaries reported between the months of March and May of 2014 inside the Brunswick Place subdivision. 

The warrant for Igbokwe's arrest charges him with one count of illegal possession of stolen things. Investigators believe Igbokwe may still be in the Shreveport area. 

Bond on the warrant for Igbokwe has been set at $250,000.00  As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnathon Igbokwe to contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or on their website at www.lockemup.org.
