STONEWALL, LA (KSLA) -

Wreaths, white flowers and a cross garnish a tiny area of wooded area off Highway 171 in DeSoto Parish.

Thursday, a 'Happy Birthday' sign was hung there by the mother of a Stonewall boy whose body was found just beyond the memorial.

It would have been Justin Bloxom's 17th birthday.

The 12-year-old's body was found on March 31, 2010 after he had been reported missing earlier that morning from a friend's house.

A jury convicted Brian Horn, a former cab driver, of the murder back in April. On Wednesday, DeSoto Parish District Judge Robert Burgess sentenced Horn to death for the crime.

Prosecutors said Horn, 37, posed as a 15-year-old girl to entice Bloxom via text to meet up with him for sex. It is believed the boy got inside Horn's cab and was killed soon after.
