HOUSTON CO., AL (WSFA) -

With only five days left until the primary elections, the Houston County Probate Office is reminding voters of changes they need to be aware of before they head to the polls Tuesday.

In addition to bringing a valid photo ID with you when you vote Tuesday, Houston County voters also need to remember there have been some voting precinct location changes that could affect where they vote.

Historically Westgate Park was one of the busiest precincts with 10,000 voters assigned to it. To solve an issue that could arise with long lines, the probate office decided to reassign voters. More than 4,000 of those voters will now report to a new precinct at Dothan's First Assembly, and 1,200 voters will head to an existing precinct at Vaughn Bloomberg.

While mailers have been sent out, the probate office is also using technology this time around to make sure voters know where to go.

"We have created over the last two years and continued to improve our website. If you will go under the elections tab on the left side of the menu you will see a voting precinct tab at the bottom. If you click on that a map will come up and it represents all of the voting lines of the various precincts in the county and will also verify where you vote," said Houston County Probate Judge Patrick Davenport.

To find out which precinct you are supposed to vote at, visit the Houston County Probate Office website.
