FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

Thursday marks three years since Bill and Peggy Stephenson were killed inside their Florence, Ky. home.

Detectives have interviewed more than 250 people in 14 different states since then, in addition to DNA samples collected from several people potentially connected to the case.

Despite all their efforts, authorities have made no arrests in the case nor found a match to DNA left at the crime scene.

The couple was found murdered in May 2011. Bill Stephenson, a deacon at the Union Baptist Church, was known for his ministry at the Truckers Chapel at the Travel America Truck Stop in Florence.

A family member discovered their bodies after Bill did not show up for the Sunday service.

Both were 74.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office (859) 334–8496 or submit information at www.boonecountyky.org/so/cases/Stephenson.
