Louisiana State Police say 16-year-old Nathan Mosley of Ringgold, LA was killed in a fiery crash just north of Coushatta, LA late Sunday night.
The crash happened just before midnight on U.S. 71.
The preliminary investigation shows Mosley was driving a 1987 Chevrolet truck ran off the road to the right and into a ditch. The pickup hit a tree and caught fire with Mosley inside.
Troopers say Mosley was wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Red River Parish coroner's office.
Alcohol use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. A toxicology sample was taken and submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
Troop G has investigated five crashes this year which have resulted in five deaths.
