TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Red Cross will be helping a family displaced by a bee attack Saturday afternoon on the northwest side of Tucson.

Emergency crews responded just before 3:00 p.m. to a home on West Apricot Drive, near Orange Grove and Thornydale, according to Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire Department.

He said two men and three children had been stung several times, but none of them needed medical attention.

The homeowner, Hector Terrazas, said he had been battling the bees for a few days. He said his calls for help had no response until Saturday.

"My kids got shots and me too, and they never answered," said Terrazas.

He said no matter how many bees he killed in the days before, the insects continued to swarm around the house.

Goldberg said any issue involving bees that lasts longer than a day or two should warrant a call to an expert or 911.

The house is not safe for Hector and his family until the bees are completely removed. Goldberg said it would not be so dangerous if the bees were outside the house, but they've managed to work their way into the home.
