MAIDEN, NC (WBTV) -

A local farm got a big surprise on Thursday night when they setup a camera to see who was taking corn from their farm.

Josh Grant of Red Wolf Farm in Maiden says he setup the trailcam to try and catch whoever had been moving the large covers off of his corn tubs.

Well, as it turns out, it wasn't a who but rather black bear.

At around 10 p.m. on Thursday the camera catches the bear sniffing around and pushing the covers off to sample the corn.

"I guess bears like to play in the corn also," Grant said in an email.

The bear eventually wandered off after he had his fill.
