SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man has been arrested, linked to the break-ins of 20 storage units earlier this year.

Caddo Parish deputies say Christopher Charles Bailey, 42 of Shreveport, has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of illegal possession of stolen things in Caddo Parish.

Back on Feb. 21-22, police say Bailey cut the doors on some storage units on Kay Lane. A search of his apartment on Lister Street led deputies to items reportedly taken from the units.

Detectives also found a 6X10 enclosed cargo trailer, which had been stolen from the Baptist Collegiate Ministry building on the campus of LSU. A second trailer filled with stolen items from other burglaries and thefts was also found on the Lister Street property, police said.

Bailey fled the Shreveport area and was recently arrested in Panama City Beach, Florida on unrelated charges. He was extradited back to Caddo Parish where he is being held at the Caddo Correctional Center.

He is also charged with one count of motor vehicle theft for a crime investigated by Shreveport police.

His total bond is $265,862.
