Shots fired at officer in North College Hill, police seek suspect

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Authorities are searching for a suspect who fired multiple shots at an officer in North College Hill. 

Shots were fired around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on Betts Avenue. Police say that the officer was not injured.

The suspect was last seen running toward Simpson Avenue. Officers have described the suspect as a heavy-set black male with no shirt on his body. Authorities say it appears he had a shirt on his head and was wearing dark-colored pants.  

Authorities are currently setting up a perimeter in the area.

    Since September, employees have been given three options:  Get the flu shot, get an approved religious or medical exemption, or leave Essentia. At least 50 people have lost their jobs thus far.
