Tyler, TX man in jail after alleged knife attack

TYLER, TX (KSLA) -

One man was arrested Sunday morning after an alleged knife attack in Tyler.

Juan Olivia, 50, of Tyler was charged with aggravated assault after he cut the another man's hand with a knife about 9:30 a.m. at Country Donut, 215 North Beckham Ave., police said.

Tyler was arrested at the scene and booked into the Smith County Jail.

Police believe the incident was related to a disturbance between Olivia and victim Juan Benegas, 32, also of Tyler.
