A major blaze that sparked Sunday afternoon at a Haughton business has nearly died out.
The fire broke out around noon at Ark-La-Tex Pallets, at 4191 Bellevue Road.
Charles Pinkston, assistant chief for the Bossier Parish Fire Department, said when his crew got to the scene, about 1,000 pallets were burning.
Firefighters from several Bossier Parish fire districts were on the scene for several hours, battling the massive fire. Flames could be seen for miles.
Pinkston said fire officials aren't yet sure what caused the blaze.
