Authorities have arrested a local man accused of shooting two others along a stretch of Interstate 20 in west Shreveport earlier this week.

Back on May 14, 2014, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Willis-Knighton Medical Center in the 2600 block of Greenwood Road for a report of a shooting.  Once there, officers learned that 18-year-old Tyreon Woodard and 19-year-old Christopher Jackson suffered injuries after the vehicle they were riding in came under fire by a suspect who allegedly fired shots from a separate vehicle traveling along Interstate 20 near Monkhouse Drive. Both victims are expected to recover.

Police have said they believe the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between the victims and then gunman.

Since the investigation into the shooting began, Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives have gathered information and evidence linking a Shreveport man to the crime. LaBroderick Gandy 22, was named as a suspect in the shooting and had since had a warrant issued for his arrest. On Friday, patrol officers conducting a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Poland Street, located Gandy inside the vehicle along with two hand guns.

It has not been determined if the weapons discovered in the car were used in the crime. Gandy was taken into custody on the warrant charging him with attempted second degree murder and booked into the Shreveport City Jail. Bond has been set at $200,000.
