A Slidell crook is behind bars after the softball jersey he was wearing helped police identify him.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Stuart Pratt, was busted on camera last week robbing a Slidell business.
According to the Slidell Police Department, officers responded to a burglary at Petals & Stems Florist on Fremaux Avenue May 5th.
When officers arrived, they found a broken window and cash missing from the register.
In the store's surveillance video, Pratt was wearing a softball jersey from a local softball team called "Ballz Deep". On the back of the jersey, Pratt was sporting his number, 33.
The Slidell Police Department posted images on the department's Facebook Page. Within hours, several people identified Pratt as the culprit.
Pratt turned himself in over the weekend. He was charged with one count of Simple Burglary and is currently being held in the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
