DESOTO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A third suspect is in custody after leading police on a high-speed car and foot chase Sunday night in DeSoto Parish.

Jamarcus Marshall, 23 of Mansfield, turned himself in to police Monday afternoon after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

Bobby Smart, 19 of Mansfield, and a juvenile male were apprehended Sunday night during a foot chase in Stonewall, linked to an attempted armed robbery at a Family Dollar store in the 1000 block of Hwy. 171, police said.

Deputies who responded to the scene caught a vehicle matching that of the suspects heading west on Hwy. 5. When the car didn't stop, a high-speed chase began until the car crashed near Hwy. 509 and Buffalo Road.

Three men then got out of the vehicle and police pursued them on foot. Smart was caught and the juvenile was later caught by a K-9 unit, police said.

Investigators recovered items that linked the three to the Family Dollar crime scene.
