CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
Three men are behind bars in Caddo Parish, charged with burglarizing several homes in Shreveport and Greenwood Wednesday morning.
Garlandous D. Cathron, 21 of the 7300 block of Fairfield Avenue; Katryle J. Bryant, 22 of the 3900 block of Golf Links Blvd.; and Gardarius D. Williams, 18 of the 2900 block of Darien Street were arrested for the crimes.
According to parish sheriff's office, deputies went out to the 6900 block of Jefferson-Paige Road where a homeowner came home to find her front door kicked in. An alarm system there too pictures of a suspect inside the house. Deputies also recovered a shoe print from the door.
An hour later, deputies were sent to the 10000 block of Woolworth Road where three suspects allegedly tried to kick in the front and back doors of a home. They fled when a woman inside the house screamed, police said.
The three were stopped in a Mercury Marquis on Colquitt Road and a deputy found a stolen pistol inside the car. Evidence from the burglary scenes linked the men inside the car to the crimes.
All three men were charged with the Woolworth burglary, a separate burglary April 30 in the 8800 block of Greenwood Road and illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
Bryant and Williams were also charged with the Jefferson-Paige burglary. Cathron was charged also as a fugitive and Bryant was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm
More charges against the three are pending, and at least four other similar burglaries are being investigated.
