Traffic on eastbound Bert Kouns Industrial Loop is back open after a car collided with a bus earlier Thursday afternoon.
One person was taken to a Shreveport hospital after a car she was driving ended up under the back of a school bus on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
It happened near the Fern Street crossing.
The driver of a two-door yellow Chevrolet Cavalier was taken to University Health Shreveport with non-life threatening injuries. It appeared that her arm was severely cut.
Police said the incident happened because the Cavalier driver was distracted behind the wheel.
Three elementary school children were on the bus at the time of the accident but after fire officials checked them out, appear to have no injuries at this time. Some reported sore necks but their parents are on the way to pick them up, said Victor Mainiero, spokesman for Caddo Parish Public Schools.
The bus driver was uninjured but a second adult, who was at the back of the bus when the wreck happened, complained of a sore neck. She refused to be taken to a hospital.
