NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -

An 11th stop has been added to the Kentucky Craft Bourbon Trail. A new distillery opens to the public on Thursday.

The New Riff Kentucky Bourbon Distillery, located in the parking lot of Newport's Partysource, has been in the works for nearly three years.

New Riff offers free on-site tours in it's 30,000 square feet, three-story-tall building. It also has a rooftop fir for entertaining and sampling drinks. They'll serve mostly bourbon, but say gin and rum will also be on hand.

It's the 11th stop and northernmost location on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour. The Kentucky Distiller's Association created the Craft Tour to feature Kentucky's micro-distilleries. Nearly 62,000 people experienced the tour last year, representatives say.
