OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

MidPoint Music Festival announced Wednesday that Cincinnati's own The Afghan Wigs will be one of the headliners this fall.

It's the only local appearance on the band's worldwide tour in support of "Do To The Beast," the band's first album of new material in 16 years. The Afghan Whigs will take the Washington Park stage on Friday, September 26.

More artists and headlining acts will be announced May 14.

General admission tickets also go on sale May 14. Three-day tickets, including VIP passes, are on sale now on MPMF.com.

The 13th annual MidPoint Music Festival is September 25-27.
