NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Voters in St. John, Jefferson, Lafourche, St. Charles and Tangipahoa parishes have several issues on Saturday's ballot, ranging from tax proposals to council seats.

In St. Tammany Parish, voters will choose between Dr. Charles Preston and Dr.Leanne Truehart, two candidates in a runoff for parish coroner.

Disgraced former Coroner Galvan reported to prison earlier this month. He is serving a two year prison sentence for conspiring to steal public money for his personal use.

His corruption trial followed a series of Lee Zurik investigations that exposed his questionable spending.

Look for election results tonight on FOX 8 News at 9 and 10.
