TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police have arrested a suspect believed to have killed man and placed him on a train track in south Toledo.

The victim, Roy H. Roberts, 51, was found naked and deceased on the Norfolk Southern train tracks at Airline and Gibbons around 9 p.m. Friday.

Police say he was run over by a train, but only after he was severely beaten earlier in the day at his residence, 129 Dale Street.

Police say the suspect, 34-year-old Lecorius "Corey" Reynolds, admitted to detectives that he struck the victim several times in the neck and face with his hands. Police say Reynolds admitted to placing Roberts' dead body on the tracks and fleeing the scene.

The suspect and victim appeared to have lived together on Dale Street.

Reynolds is currently in the Lucas County Jail facing murder charges. At 9 a.m. Monday, Reynolds is scheduled to appear before a judge in Toledo Municipal Court.

An investigation is ongoing. Stay with Toledo News Now for the latest details.
