Sheriff: Wanted sex offender may be in Marrero, Lafitte

    The fight over Common Core got hotter with dueling lawsuits. On Tuesday afternoon, The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) voted 6- 4 to join a lawsuit filed by parents and teachers against Governor Bobby Jindal. Governor Jindal's administration then filed their own lawsuit.

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for a man who failed to register as a sex offender and may be in Marrero or Lafitte.

Glenwood Noel Luther, also known as "Wolf," is a 40 year-old white male recently convicted of molesting an 8-year-old boy. He has a criminal history that includes arrests for possession of methamphetamine, attempted murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm, theft, battery, cruelty to a juvenile, burglary and escape.

Luther is described as being 5'07" and 163 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. He has multiple tattoos that include a demon face on his right and left arms, a heart with "Donna" underneath his right biceps, a skull with hat on his upper left arm, "Wolf" on his back, an Indian feather on his right calf, "Skull from outer space" on his right thigh and a skull with three cards on his left calf.

Luther has been wanted since September 2013. Investigators have recently developed information that he may be staying somewhere on or near 4th Street and Westwood Drive in Marrero.  He has also been known to frequent the lower part of the Town of Jean Lafitte.
