LAFAYETTE, LA (WVUE) -

A man wanted for a murder in New Orleans was arrested Monday by Lafayette City marshal deputies.

Lafayette authorities received information that Leroy Andrew Price, wanted for a killing that took place Jan. 13, was hiding out in home in the 100 block of Arizona Street in Lafayette.

Deputies set up surveillance of the home and saw two people leave in a silver SUV. When deputies stopped the SUV and questioned Price, he gave them another man's name before finally admitting who he was.

Price's criminal record includes drug violations, being a felon in possession of a firearm and a second-degree murder that took place in 2011.

Price was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the January murder charge.
