(KSLA) -

The KSLA Stormtracker 12 Weather team is keeping you updated on the latest storm warnings and watches in the ArkLaTex.

Storms are moving northeast at 40mph.  While the severe storms initially predicted for earlier in the afternoon on Sunday were held back by a "cap" of warm air, there is still a risk for severe storms to track into the ArkLaTex overnight.

Make sure you are prepared in any severe weather event.  Download the KSLA StormTracker 12 Weather app for your mobile device.  Quick download tip if you don't have the app already: Text APPS to 81212.

Whenever severe weather is expected, it's a good idea to keep your phone charged up and be prepared to go without power at your home for a few hours.  Check to make sure the batteries in your Midland Weather Radio are fresh and that the radio is programmed.  Know where your emergency supply kit is and make sure it's fully stocked.

Stay tuned to KSLA News 12 on air, as we will break in to programming as necessary when there is an imminent threat due to severe weather.

We'll also keep you up to date here on KSLA.com and on our KSLA StormTracker 12 Weather Team Facebook Page
