BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A prostitution sting in Bossier City lead to the arrest of a woman wanted for deserting the U.S. military.

Police say they arrested 18-year-old Desilee Atkins, of Amarillo, Texas, Thursday afternoon at the Red River Inn in the 1600 block of East Texas Street during an undercover prostitution investigation.

Police say Atkins was not charged in connection to the prostitution sting but a woman who she was with, 20-year-old Berkley Bartosiewicz, also of Amarillo, was arrested and charged with prostitution.

During their investigation officers found that Atkins was wanted by the U.S. Army for desertion from Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Atkins booked into the Bossier City Jail and will be placed in the custody of military authorities.
