BARKSDALE AFB, LA (KSLA) -

Preparations are under way at Barksdale Air Force Base as officials are gearing up for the return of the Thunderbirds.

The show starts at 11 a.m. April 26. The show will headline the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, with other featured performances by F-22, a parachute team, and the classic P-51 Mustang.

Barksdale is in the process of moving all of their B-52's off the flight line to make room for the incoming planes. The Thunderbirds are set to arrive on Wednesday afternoon.

Since the show was canceled last year due to budget cuts, Barksdale is expecting a record crowd this year.

Admission is free for the public. Barksdale AFB is urging people to avoid bringing large bags or coolers to the show to ensure that security checkpoints move along quickly.
