Dozens of parishes across the state are rolling out their ballot boxes Saturday for the start of early voting.
Louisianans eligible to vote in the May 3 general election can cast votes between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday from April 19-26.
"This is the perfect opportunity for voters to check and see what's on the ballot and determine whether they wish to vote early," said Secretary of State Tom Schedler. "There are lots of municipal run-off elections as well as important local propositions on the ballot for voters' consideration and action."
Caddo, Bienville, Webster, DeSoto and Natchitoches parishes are five of 35 parishes holding elections May 3. Bossier Parish is not on that list.
Vote in person at the parish's registrar of voters office or other designated locations. You can also vote and get ballot information via the smart phone app GeauxVote Mobile.
